POSITION – Accounting Associate (Temporary)

JOB LOCATION – Grafton, WI

STARTING DATE – Immediate

EMPLOYMENT TERM – Long-Term Temporary, potential to be Long-Term Hire

EMPLOYMENT TYPE – Full-Time

WORK HOURS (SHIFT) –  1st Shift

STARTING PAY – $20 per hour

REQUIRED EDUCATION – High School Diploma/GED

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE – At least 2 years of experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Process vendor invoices for approval and payment, monitoring compliance of vendor payments to purchase contracts and purchase orders. 
• Determine payment schedules for vendors based upon payment terms. 
• Process payments on a scheduled basis. 
• Identify expenditures that require payment of Sales or Use Tax. 
• File Sales and Use Tax payments and maintain related records. 
• Communicate with vendors and internal departments on invoice issues. 
• Process expense reports and credit card statements for payment. 
• Prepare and process credit memos as needed.   
• Follow established procedures to prepare customer invoices.
• Apply payments to customer accounts and process daily bank deposits.
• Report Accounts Receivable aging on a weekly basis to management.
• Balance checking accounts to bank statements.  

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in accounting preferred

- 2+ years of experience in an accounting role

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
