We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented equipment operator, experienced in operating stand up forklifts, to join our team. As an equipment operator, you will be responsible for the efficient and safe handling of materials within our warehouse. You will help to ensure that incoming and outgoing shipments are accurately processed, materials are properly stored, and inventory is effectively managed.

Job Location – Milwaukee, WI

Starting Date – Immediate

Employment Term – Temp to hire

Employment Type – Full-time

Work Hours (Shift) –   2nd shift (2pm-10pm)

Starting Pay – $16 per hour

Required Education – High School Diploma/GED

Required Experience – At least 1 year of experience

Responsibilities:

1. Safely and efficiently load and unload materials from trucks, pallets, and other storage areas using forklifts, hand trucks, and other equipment.

2. Verify the accuracy of incoming shipments by comparing items to packing lists and purchase orders.

3. Sort, organize, and store materials in designated locations to ensure easy access and retrieval.

4. Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records by performing regular cycle counts and reconciling discrepancies.

5. Prepare materials for shipment by packing, labeling, and securing them according to established procedures.

6. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency.

Requirements:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.

2. Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role preferred.

3. Valid forklift operator certification and experience using stand up forklifts

4. Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately perform inventory counts.

5. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

6. Ability to lift heavy objects, up to 50 pounds, and operate material handling equipment safely.
