Position – Fitter Welder

Job Location – Cudahy, WI

Starting Date – Immediate

Employment Term – Temp-to-hire

Employment Type – Full Time

Work Hours (Shift) –   1st Shift (6:00am – 2:30pm)

Starting Pay – $20+ Depending on experience

Required Education – High School Diploma/GED

Required Experience – At least 2 years of experience

The Fitter is responsible for welding, fitting, and installing metal pieces according to work orders and engineering drawings. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret work orders, manufacturing standards, and blueprints.
• Determine material requirements and plan tasks accordingly.
• Assemble, fit, and tac weld metal sections using various fabrication methods.
• Operate heavy-duty metalworking machinery, including torches, drills, die grinders, hammers, levels, plasma cutters, overhead cranes, and forklifts.

Qualifications

·        Knowledge of the manufacturing industry and the ability to provide your own trade tools.

·        1-2 years of fitting experience preferred.

·        Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and blueprints.

·        Proven ability to work in a quality-production environment, including maintaining a clean workstation, multitasking, meeting deadlines, and working effectively within a team.
