Foundry Lab Technician (3rd Shift)

What You’ll Do

• Perform metallurgical testing to ensure iron meets quality standards
• Conduct sand testing and monitor key material properties
• Calculate alloy additions for melt processes
• Operate lab equipment including spectrometer, Leco, and micro polisher
• Prepare and process test samples daily
• Monitor specs and flag any out-of-spec conditions
• Maintain lab equipment, calibration, and cleanliness
• Support the melt department as needed
• Create material certifications and maintain documentation

What You Bring

• 5–7 years of lab tech experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred)
• High school diploma or trade school background
• Strong math and problem-solving skills
• Understanding of production processes and quality control
• Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly
• Comfortable working independently and making judgment calls
