POSITION – Machine Operator

JOB LOCATION – Fredonia, WI

STARTING DATE – Immediate

EMPLOYMENT TERM – Temp to hire

EMPLOYMENT TYPE – Full Time

WORK HOURS (SHIFT) – 2nd Shift, 10-hour shifts

STARTING PAY – $19 to $24 per hour

As a machine operator, you will be responsible for running production equipment in metal machining and deep hole gun drilling. You will use inspection gages such as dial calipers, bore gages, and depth mics to ensure parts meet precise specifications. You’ll work independently and be trusted to manage your tasks efficiently, with a focus on detail, reliability, and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor metal machining equipment and deep hole gun drilling machines
• Inspect parts using precision measuring tools (dial calipers, bore gages, depth mics, etc.)
• Maintain strict quality standards and document results accurately
• Adapt to workflow changes and follow direction as needed
• Ensure a safe and organized work area

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of inspection gages: Dial Calipers, Bore Gages, Depth Mics, etc.
• Experience or interest in metal machining and deep hole gun drilling
• Dependable – more reliable than spontaneous
• Adaptable/flexible – enjoys work that requires frequent shifts in direction
• Detail-oriented – prefers focusing on the details of work rather than the bigger picture
• Autonomous/Independent – comfortable working with little direction
• Prior machine operating or manufacturing experience is a plus
