Position: Machine Operator

Hours: 3^rd Shift, 11:00 pm to 6:00 am, 35 hours per week. Paid lunches and breaks

Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour

Job Summary:

The Machine Loader and Unloader is responsible for safely and efficiently loading raw plastic materials into manufacturing machines and unloading finished or semi-finished products. This role supports production operations by ensuring machines are properly supplied and maintained, and by handling materials according to company quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Unload finished or partially finished plastic products from machines and place them in designated areas for inspection, packaging, or further processing.

·       Monitor machine operation to ensure smooth and continuous production.

·       Identify and report any equipment malfunctions, material issues, or quality concerns to supervisors.

·       Clean and maintain work area, tools, and equipment to ensure a safe and organized environment.

·       Follow all safety procedures and use proper personal protective equipment (PPE).

·       Keep accurate records of materials used, products produced, and machine downtime.

·       Assist in packaging, labeling, or stacking of finished goods as needed.

·       Perform routine checks to verify material types and quantities match production specifications.

Qualifications:

·       High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

·       Prior experience in a manufacturing or plastics environment is a plus.

·       Ability to lift 50+ pounds, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.

·       Basic understanding of machinery and mechanical processes.

·       Strong attention to detail and quality.

·       Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

·       Willingness to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Work Conditions:

·       Work is typically performed in a manufacturing facility with exposure to noise, heat, and plastic fumes.

·       Requires the use of PPE such as gloves, safety glasses, and hearing protection.
