Work Hours (Shift) –   1st Shift (7:00am – 3:30pm)

Starting Pay – Depends on Experience, $18-$21 an hour

We are seeking a skilled Slitter Operator to join our manufacturing team. As a Slitter Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining slitting machines to cut materials into specified dimensions. This is a crucial role in our production process, ensuring the accurate and efficient conversion of materials for further processing.

Responsibilities:

1. Operate slitting machines to cut materials, such as paper, plastic, or metal, into specified widths and lengths.

2. Set up and adjust the slitting machine based on job requirements, including the selection of cutting blades, spacers, and guides.

3. Feed material into the machine and monitor the process to ensure smooth operation and prevent jams or misalignments.

4. Monitor and inspect the quality of the slit material, checking for any defects or inconsistencies, and making necessary adjustments as needed.

5. Maintain a clean and organized work area, including removing waste material and performing routine machine maintenance.

6. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the slitting process, such as blade wear, machine malfunctions, or material irregularities.

7. Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.

8. Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation accurately, including production logs, quality reports, and maintenance records.

9. Collaborate with other team members and communicate effectively to ensure efficient production flow and meet production targets.

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Previous experience operating slitting machines or similar equipment is preferred.

- Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot and solve technical issues.

- Knowledge of different materials and their properties, such as paper, plastic, or metal.

- Ability to read and understand production orders and specifications.

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.

- Physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy materials when necessary.

- Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
