Job Location – Hudson, WI
Starting Date – Immediate
Employment Term – Direct Hire
Employment Type – Full-Time
Work Hours (Shift) – 2nd Shift (2:15 pm- 12:30 am) 4 - 10 hour days
Starting Pay – $24.00 - $29.00 hour DOE

Required Education – Certificate or diploma in a machine tool program is preferred
Required Experience – Quality Control| Machine Shop experience a plus
The Quality Control Inspector will be working in a machine shop environment inspecting fabricated and machined parts. The position will have shared responsibilities for inspecting and testing machined parts for specifications and deviations from pre-set specifications. The position will utilize measuring instruments and complex testing equipment in the course of daily activities.
The Quality Control Inspector will work closely with management and machinists to ensure good quality products and exceptional workmanship standards are being maintained through dimensional and visual inspections both in the lab and on the floor throughout the day.
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Include but are not limited to:
• Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections on parts or materials using various gauges, fixtures and testing equipment
• Program and use Gleason Gear Analyzers
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• 5S/Lean
• Cutter Builder- body and blade management
• Identify product/process improvements and participate with co-workers to implement these improvements
• Assist in developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
• Additional manufacturing tasks as required/instructed by supervisor

• Support and achieve the key business performance metrics and by providing accurate and robust routings, and manufacturing process methods:
o Achieve a Zero Harm environment
o Deliver best in class Quality performance:
? Ext PPM < 10,000
? Cost of Poor Quality of < 1.0% of sales
? Zero escapes
o Exceed 95% on-time delivery as Promised to our customers.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
• High school diploma or GED and 3-5 years of previous manufacturing experience required
• A self-starter with the ability to multitask and quickly shift priorities in support of production;
• Good communication skills both written and oral along with organizational and problem-solving confidence in decision making to maintain quality standards and workmanship; skills;
• Familiar with or experience working in an ISO environment;
• Must be detail oriented with the ability to enter data into various computer programs;
• Ability to work effectively with others in various departments and levels
• Ability to work alone or on a team on a broad variety of projects
• Proficiency in the use of quality inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, gage pins, etc.);
• PPAP experience-The ability to write and maintain a PPAP;
• CMM experience a plus
