Position – Safety Manager

Job Location – Ixonia, WI

Starting Date – Immediate

Employment Term – Direct Hire

Employment Type – Full-Time

Work Hours (Shift) – 1st Shift (8:00am – 4:30pm)

Starting Pay – Depends on Experience

Required Education – High School Diploma/GED

Required Experience – At least 2 years of experience

To guide and assist the plants with initiatives and programs designed to meet OSHA compliance and maintain a safe work environment.

Responsibilities

1. Inspect and evaluate workplace environments, equipment, and practices, in order to ensure compliance with safety standards and government regulations

2. Inspect specified areas to ensure the presence of fire prevention equipment, safety equipment, and first-aid supplies

3. Initiate claims reporting process from initial healthcare visit through maintaining regular follow up with clinicians, employee, and managers regarding progress and RTW options

4. Lead accident investigations to identify causes and to determine how such accidents might be prevented in the future

5. Assist in development of new-employee health and safety orientations, and develop materials for these presentations

6. Assist in development of continuing education program

7. Recommend measures to help protect workers from potentially hazardous work methods, processes, or materials

8. Update existing safety programs
