We are currently interviewing for a skilled Saw Operator to work in Eau Claire.

Position – Saw Operator

Job Location – Eau Claire, WI

Starting Date – Immediate

Employment Term – Direct Hire

Employment Type – Full-Time

Work Hours (Shift) – 1st Shift (Monday-Thursday, 6am-4:30pm OR Monday-Friday, 6:30am-3pm)

Starting Pay – $20-25/hour based on experience

Required Education – HS Diploma or equivalent required, technical diploma preferred

Required Experience – Mechanical background and proven work experience in similar industry, forklift, overhead crane, hand tool, tape measure experience required

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and organized individual with a mechanical background to be our Saw Operator. The ideal candidate should have experience with overhead cranes, forklifts, various types of steel, hand tools, tape measures, and print reading. While we are open to training the right person, you must possess a strong work ethic and a desire to succeed.

Responsibilities

• Accurately follow work orders to cut materials
• Pull and return steel materials to and from stock
• Read part prints and measure according to specifications
• Operate saws, overhead cranes, and forklifts
• Use hand tools and tape measures with precision
• Maintain and organize steel inventory
• Place material orders as needed
• Ensure the work area is clean and safe

Qualifications 

• Manually or using a crane/hoist, select and move materials to the work area
• Operate equipment or machinery to cut steel
• Cut steel to specified lengths based on blueprints
• Deburr and label parts after cutting
• Manage steel inventory levels
• Keep the work environment clean and well-organized
• Verify products for correct shapes, dimensions, and specifications
• Clean and lubricate machinery and equipment
• Interpret and read specifications and blueprints
• Record completed work
• Load and unload steel delivery trucks
