TIG Welder / Fabricator – Newport, MN

Join a growing manufacturer in Newport, MN, producing high-quality stainless steel equipment for commercial kitchens and food service environments. We are seeking an experienced TIG Welder / Fabricator to produce custom stainless steel components with precision and craftsmanship.

Pay Rate:

$24–$31 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.

Work Schedule:

Monday–Thursday: 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Friday: 6:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings for accurate fabrication and welding
• Perform TIG welding on stainless steel, aluminum, and other metals; additional experience with MIG, wire feed, and spot welding is an advantage
• Fabricate custom products, including counters, cabinets, and breath guards, ensuring high standards for fit and finish
• Operate shop equipment safely to cut, form, and join metal components
• Maintain welding tools and equipment and follow safety protocols
• Collaborate with engineers and other team members to meet project specifications and deadlines
• Participate in cross-training to expand manufacturing skills

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Extensive experience with TIG welding and stainless steel fabrication
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and flat layouts
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

• Technical welding certification
• Familiarity with press brake forming, bend allowances, and welding sequences
• Experience in custom manufacturing
