POSITION – Welder/Fabricator

JOB LOCATION – Menomonie, WI

STARTING DATE – Immediate

EMPLOYMENT TERM – Temp-to-Hire

EMPLOYMENT TYPE – Full-Time

WORK HOURS (SHIFT) – 1st Shift (6am–4:30pm Monday-Friday, additional OT some Saturdays)

STARTING PAY – $24-$25 per hour starting, pay will increase depending on experience

REQUIRED EDUCATION – High School Diploma/GED

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE – MIG Welding Experience, solid work history as a welder

We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our team in assembling precast concrete forms within a small shop environment. If you are detail-oriented, organized, and possess a positive, driven attitude, we encourage you to apply. MIG Welder, prepping, cutting, fabricating and welding steel together according to blue prints and customer specs. Employee must have the knowledge to use basic measuring equipment including steel rulers and tape measures. Fabrication experience preferred, good hand tool skills and has the ability to work independently. The schedule would be Monday through Friday and some occasional Saturdays if needed.

Responsibilities

• Proficient in operating safety equipment and adhering to safe work practices.
• Capable of reading blueprints and drawings to interpret measurements for layout and procedural planning including weld symbols.
• Ability to select appropriate welding equipment and methods based on project requirements.
• Skilled in setting up components for welding according to provided specifications.
• Experienced in performing MIG welding in flat, vertical, or overhead positions to meet quality standards and specifications.
• Competent in identifying equipment malfunctions or defective materials and performing necessary servicing and maintenance tasks.
• Proficient in measuring dimensions of products or workpieces using basic measuring tools such as calipers, steel rulers, and measuring tapes.
• Skilled in operating welding equipment and related tools, including but not limited to iron workers, disk grinders, cutoff wheels, and hand drills.

• Execute tasks with attention to detail and maintain organizational standards throughout the assembly process.
• Exhibit a positive attitude and demonstrate drive and initiative in completing assigned tasks.
• Consistently maintain reliability and punctuality in attendance and performance.
