Position – Weigh Room Operator

Job Location – Menomonie

Starting Date – Immediate

Employment Term – Temp-to-Hire

Employment Type – Full-Time

Work Hours (Shift) – 1st Shift, Monday through Friday (7:00am to 3:30pm)

• Overtime based on business needs

• May include early start times, longer shifts, or Saturdays as needed

Starting Pay – $19.50 per hour

Required Education – High School Diploma or GED

Required Experience – Previous manufacturing, warehouse, or production experience preferred, but not required

We are seeking motivated and dependable individuals to join our production team in the Weigh Room. This role is responsible for accurately weighing raw materials, preparing production batches, and supporting manufacturing operations involving animal health and nutritional products such as soft chews, gels, capsules, and dry mixes. This position requires strong attention to detail, above-average math skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment. Employees must be willing to cross-train in additional departments including Dry Mix and Capsules.

Responsibilities

Accurately weigh and verify raw materials for production batches

Transfer raw materials to the weigh room and staging areas

Prepare pallets of weighed batches according to batch records

Assist with verifying inventory and materials in storage areas

Load materials into hoppers during production processes

Operate production equipment including mixers, labelers, extrusion, and related machinery

Monitor machines and make adjustments as needed during production

Complete batch records, logs, forms, and required production paperwork

Sanitize machines and contact surfaces before and after production runs

Inspect packaging materials and finished product for accuracy

Verify metal detectors and complete required logs

Assist with dry mix, packaging, and labeling operations as needed

Communicate equipment issues to maintenance promptly

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

Qualifications

Previous manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred, but not required

Strong attention to detail and accuracy required

Above-average math skills required

Able to read, write, and communicate in English

Legible handwriting and accurate documentation skills

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds continuously throughout shift

Able to stand for extended periods of time

Comfortable performing repetitive motions

Able to work in varying temperature conditions

Must be clean shaven to complete respirator fit testing

Willingness to cross-train in multiple departments

Dependable attendance and strong work ethic

Team-oriented with a positive attitude
