Job Description
Crop Production Team Member
Help grow potatoes, sweet corn, green beans and peas!
Job duties include but are not limited to:
Manage precision agriculture equipment and ensure accurate collection of data in field
Perform light maintenance on equipment and work around the shop
Operate farm equipment, including tillage, nutrient applications, sprayers, tender trucks and harvesting
Operate onboard computing systems
Operate heavy equipment including but not limited to tractors, trucks and various implements related to logistics of vegetables and agricultural inputs
Maintain a clean working area in the shop, on the grounds, and in tractors
Follow farm safety guidelines and training
Skills and Experience:
3-5 years of agricultural production experience preferred
Able to work long hours from spring through fall. Work days typically begin at 6 am and finish between 5 and 6 pm. Typically 40 hours/week during the winter season.
General knowledge of agronomic management practices, as well as willingness to learn and use technology associated with modern equipment and record keeping
General knowledge of mechanical operation of agricultural equipment
Ability to work as a team member and assist others
Effective communication with colleagues and management
Ability to lift up to 50lbs
Driven personality, and a positive attitude
Ability to commute to work every day
Pay and Benefits:
