Job Description
Irrigation Technician
Help grow potatoes, sweet corn, green beans and peas! We run a progressive agricultural operation that uses some of the newest precision agriculture technologies and practices available. We are family-owned and value our employees.
Wage and Benefits:
Up to $20/hour depending on experience

Key responsibilities:
Install, troubleshoot, and service center pivot electrical systems
Install, troubleshoot and service 480 volt equipment with 110 volt controls
Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical motors
Maintain irrigation system to run properly
Install, troubleshoot, and service low-voltage DC controls
Install and repair underground wire
Install and maintain telemetry equipment
Qualifications:
Valid driver s license and satisfactory driving record
Ability to work proficiently both independently and within a team
Basic computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft office and Google workspace
Ability to lift 50-100 lbs. Occasionally
Technical/trade school, or experience with center pivot irrigation equipment
Strong aptitude regarding electrical repair and maintenance
Excellent trouble shooting and problem solving skills
Ability to complete reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments
Accountability for time and materials used on assigned duties
Positive and respectful manner with customers and employees
Ability to meet time expectations
Ability to maintain good condition of work vehicles, inventory, tools and equipment
Ability to follow safety rules and regulations
Desire to learn and grow professionally
Ability to effectively communicate
Prior electrical or trouble shooting experience preferred
Ability to operate heavy equipment such as a forklift, trencher, skid steer, or excavator
Ability to work in outdoor conditions including heat, cold, dust, wind and rain
Ability to work long hours from spring through fall, typically 6 am to 5 pm. Winter season averages 40 hours/week
