Job Description
HOW WOULD YOU LIKE TO PLAY WITH LASERS ALL DAY LONG?!
Reading and following written procedures
Set-up and run a job without assistance and few or no resets
Experience in Precision Sheet Metal fabrication and production is required
Knowledge of materials, processes and equipment in a manufacturing environment
Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment, managing multiple projects within deadlines
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Detail focused with a customer service oriented attitude
High School Diploma or equivalent
Excellent people skills, with an ability to partner with a dynamic leadership team
Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and a commitment to the mission
Flexible and able to multi-task; can work with an ambiguous, fast-moving environment, while also driving toward clarity and solutions; demonstrated resourcefulness in setting priorities and guiding investment in people and systems
Bend and lift, loading and unloading work pieces into the machine, and move from one work station to another, alternately sitting and standing
Lift objects up to 50 pounds throughout the day
Perform repetitive work
Read fine print and distinguish colors
Responsibilities
Set up & Operate/Operator
Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements
Serve as the liaison between engineering and production team on matters regarding jobs using the laser machine
Verify that parts are properly loaded and that surfaces are properly prepared for fabricating
Confirm machine settings, tooling and/or fixtures are appropriate to the part being run
Documents actions by completing production and in-process quality forms
May perform simple, repetitive manual and automated finishing operations
May perform hand deburring, grinding, assembly, and welding operations on uncomplicated products
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Perform a variety of other production tasks and assist throughout the shop as required
Adjust work routines to meet scheduling demands
Maintain a clean and orderly work area
Comply with the requirements of the ISO Quality Management System and departmental procedures, and work-instructions
Create master program for computer-controlled laser machine
Develop program to meet on-time delivery schedules and best usage of material
Demonstrated knowledge and skill in performing set-ups and operating machines
Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjusts machine controls or control media as required
Perform routine machine maintenance
Confers with engineers, production personnel, programmers, or others to resolve machining or assembly problems
Reading blueprints and performing all necessary measurements
