POSITION Machine Operator
JOB LOCATION Manitowoc, WI
STARTING DATE Immediate
EMPLOYMENT TERM Temp-to-hire
EMPLOYMENT TYPE Full-time.
WORK HOURS (SHIFT) 2 nd shift. 8-hour shifts Monday-Friday, 3rd shift 10 hours shift Monday - Thursday
STARTING PAY $18-19/hour.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
To safely operate equipment required to produce product while manufacturing quality parts. Check finished parts, empty parts buckets to hoppers, and shut-down operation whenever deficiencies in quality or machine operation is noted. Follow established run mode practices and procedures.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform in process, final inspections per job instructions. Read and interpret part prints and understand the correlation between the print and critical dimensions upon which SPC charts are based. An understanding of the use of SPC computer system and the basic principles of SPC customer requirements. Record production, material, and quality information on designated JSC operating systems and in accordance with JSC operating procedures. Understanding the purpose and necessity for accurate record keeping. Maintaining cleanliness and neatness of surrounding area. Cleaning scrap from inside and outside of machines upon order completion. Whenever visible signs of debris, oil, coolant or any slippery conditions or substances are present, the area must be mopped clean and an attempt made to discover and eliminate the source of any leaks.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Knowledge of machine controls.
Experience with precision measuring instruments, such as caliper, micrometer, plug gauges, bore micrometer, dial indicator height gauge.
Basic math skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
