STARTING PAY $20-25/hr DOE
REQUIRED EDUCATION HS Diploma or equivalent preferred
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE Previous industry and job experience highly preferred
The Manufacturing Technician is Responsible for general labor and machine operation duties in the wire screen shop and some service technician duties. This individual may work independent of direct supervision in a shop, and sometimes field, environment.
Assist the wire screen cloth division with measuring and cutting wire screens with shears and press brakes, bend and form metal hooks and sheet metal.
Recondition and repair of equipment components and systems as assigned.
Clean and maintain shop supplies and shop area as needed.
Maintain positive and effective interaction with customers, colleagues and equipment manufacturers.
Provide accurate records as it relates to manufacturing records, repair orders, and time cards.
Adhere to company and industry safety practices
Cross-train in other positions as needed.
Promote a positive company image during the course and scope of the performance of these duties.
Other duties as assigned.
Good working knowledge of equipment operations and mechanical functions, such as electrical, hydraulics and steel fabrication.
Knowledge of basic tools and tool usage, including welding skills
Demonstrated excellent work ethic with self motivation, ability to work safely with minimal supervision, while maintaining the expectations of thoroughness.
Ability to operate in a fast paced environment that requires multitasking while maintaining a high level of organization.
Must demonstrate good problem solving skills, mechanical aptitude, excellent communication skills -- both oral and written, good work habits, above average math, science, and English skills, the ability to read and interpret machine schematics, self motivation and a desire to perform at one' s highest level.
Ability to sit, stoop, kneel, push, climb, move, reach and work overhead, lift up to 75lbs. And work in all weather conditions.
