Full description
Purpose: To apply required finish to parts to meet print specifications.
Responsibilities: Grinds out burrs and sharp edges, using hand tools and portable grinders.
(Class C)Finish part to specification (A and B critical surfaces) with hand tools portable grinders, Timesaver, and Loewer
(Class B)Finish part to specification (A and B critical surfaces) with hand tools portable grinders, Timesaver, Loewer and Straight Liner.
(Class C)Strong understanding in blue print reading/ geometric tolerance interpretation.
Studies and interprets drawings, manuals, specifications or sample parts to determine finish condition of work pieces, sequence of operations and set up requirements.
Responsible for keeping equipment and work area clean and orderly and perform basic preventative maintenance (Lubricate) functions on equipment.
Observe machine operation to detect malfunction such as worn or damaged finishing tools.
Transact all appropriate labor and materials require for the job into M1.
Duties also include understanding the dispatch report and following work direction from this report.
Communicate with management, production control, quality and other shop personnel for assignments and to resolve machining or quality issues.
Comply with safety rules as outlined in Lake Air' s Safety Manual.
Comply with the requirements of the ISO Quality Management System and departmental procedures, and work-instructions.
Knowledge of reading, comprehension, problem-solving and math skills normally associated with completion of the 12th grade in school. Knowledge and ability to use necessary tools required in deburring. Manufacturing environment and how product flows. Skills in reading and following written procedures. Ability to read and understand blue print specifications.
Perform repetitive work more than 10 hours per day, including weekends.
Read fine print and distinguish colors.
Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
