We are now interviewing for a 1st shift Shipping Supervisor for a company located in Barron County, WI.

JOB LOCATION Barron County, Wisconsin
STARTING DATE Immediately
EMPLOYMENT TERM - Direct Hire
EMPLOYMENT TYPE Full-Time
WORK HOURS (SHIFT) 1st Shift (6am-2: 30pm OR 7am-3: 30, Mon-Fri) *Flexible hours
STARTING PAY $25-$28/hr DOE with performance increases at 90, 180, and 365 days
REQUIRED EDUCATION High school diploma or equivalent required
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE Minimum of 3 years of Inventory Management/Shipping Department experience in a manufacturing environment


On a daily basis, the Shipping Supervisor is responsible for oversight and direction of operations in the receiving area, preparing product for shipments, pallet utilization, loading trucks, and resolving any shipping errors or complaints. This is a hands-on position responsible for motivating employees to perform at, or above, expected levels while maintaining a safe work environment and enforcing Company policies and procedures.


Responsibilities:
  • Communicate effectively with the manufacturing team, order entry, and drivers to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
  • Maintain an orderly and neat stock, in both receiving and shipping.
  • Oversee compliance of receiving practices with established Company policies and standards, such as safekeeping of Company property, personnel practices, security, and record-keeping procedures.
  • Establish and maintain the continuous flow process to ensure timely delivery to internal and external customers.
  • Ensure that the product being shipped meets company quality standards.
  • Responsible for maintaining relationships with shipping brokers and LTI/LTE Companies. Coordinates shipments with LTI/LTE Common Carriers for shipping products as needed.
  • Responsible for all UPS shipments.
  • Ensure that all receiving functions that affect the business units and finish goods inventory are processed accurately by verifying purchase orders and ticketing and auditing the validation and verification reports.?
  • Oversee and participate in the timely receipt and distribution of all incoming deliveries according to Company standards.


Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required.
Supervisory experience in a Manufacturing/Production environment. At least three years experience preferred.
Must be Excel proficient.
Must be able to lift/push/pull 50 pounds.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Ability to solve problems independently and think outside the box.
Tow motor training certification a plus.
Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor and provide feedback to production workers.
Ability to work extended hours and varying shifts as required by production and/or management.
