We are now looking for an experienced MIG welder, who is looking for a consistent and steady work schedule on 1st shift in Menomonie.

EMPLOYMENT TERM Temp-to-Hire
EMPLOYMENT TYPE Full-Time
WORK HOURS (SHIFT) 1st Shift (6am 4: 30pm Monday-Friday, additional OT some Saturdays)
STARTING PAY $20-22 per hour starting, pay will increase depending on experience

REQUIRED EDUCATION High School Diploma/GED
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE MIG Welding Experience

MIG Welder, prepping, cutting, fabricating and welding steel together according to blue prints and customer specs. Employee must have the knowledge to use basic measuring equipment including steel rulers and tape measures. Fabrication experience preferred, good hand tool skills and has the ability to work independently. The schedule would be Monday through Friday and some occasional Saturdays if needed.

Responsibilities
-Following all established safety policies and procedures
-Reading and interpreting drawings. Identifying components by part number and drawings. Measuring and marking locations for metal components on the assembly tables or fixtures.
-Lifting and positioning components on the assembly tables or fixtures using the overhead cranes.
-Assembling and tack welding component parts for wholegood frames and other major weldments in preparation for final welding.
-Using portable grinders and hand files to fit parts to welded assemblies, and to remove rough spots, spatter, and other defects from welded parts and assemblies. Spray parts with splatter spray for welding.
-Perform final welds on completed assemblies taken from fixtures.
-Routine maintenance on welding equipment including wire changes, cleaning and adjustments.
-Able to use material handling equipment including overhead cranes and forklifts
-May be trained to operate various fabrication machines as needed.
-Responsible for quality requirements of work completed

Qualifications
- Verifiable Welding Experience
- Ability to read mechanical drawings
- Good communication skills
